[Note: This article contains 2 versions of the conversation / dialogue. The first one is written assuming the friends are talking to each other about the result before the publication of the result, while the second one is written assuming that the two friends are talking to each other after the publication of their result.]

Case 1: Conversation Between Two Friends About Exam Results – Before Result publication.

ABC: Hey XYZ, how are you?

XYZ: Hi ABC, nice to see you so-many days after the exam.

ABC: Yes, I was in Goa on account of a family-tip.

XYZ: Wow, that’s amazing. I too went to Shillong with my parents.

ABC: How was the exam?

XYZ: The exam was pretty good for all subjects except history.

ABC: Mine too, history was the worst subject in my case also.

XYZ: Have you made any calculations of your overall percentage?

ABC: No, not a perfect one but I have made a rough estimate of how much can I score. It’s going to be around 85%. What about you?

XYZ: As I told you that my history paper was such a ruin! I too had expected somewhat near 85% but the history paper may make it as bad as 80%. What’s your best paper?

ABC: Definitely, physics. For you?

XYZ: It’s probably going to be mathematics for me. I attended all the questions, and my rough estimate says that I can easily get over 90% in mathematics.

ABC: Wow, quite fascinating. See you at the day of result publication. Best of luck.

XYZ: Same to you, best of luck.

Case 2: Conversation Between Two Friends About Exam Results – After Result publication.

ABC: Hi, XYZ. Nice you see you after a long period, how is everything going?

XYZ: Not that good.

ABC: Why? Any problem?

XYZ: Actually, you know that the annual examination results have been published and I have not been able to perform well this year.

ABC: Yes, I saw that your results have not came that good. But, that’s not due to your fault, you were hospitalised with Covid!

XYZ: Yes, oh those days! Hey, what about your percentage in the exam? I have got just 78%.

ABC: I was able to score 86%. I don’t think its bad anyway, but I want to study harder and bring more good grades. Nonetheless, it’s quite fascinating to see you score 78% despite of the obstacles in your life.

XYZ: Thank you so much.

ABC: Which is the subject in which you have performed the best?

XYZ: I had scored decent marks in English; in English I have got 87.

ABC: Wow. In my case, it’s Physics. I have got 92 in Physics.

XYZ: Congratulation. We all know Physics is your most preferred subject!

ABC: Anyway, forget what happened this year. Focus on the next year, I know you will be able to top the class once again the next year.

XYZ: Thanks for all the well wishes, let’s study together and perform well the next year.
