Process of Preparing Lemon Squash

Process Writing Class X (10), IX (9) & VIII (8)

Lemon squash is a very popular co-food, usually consumed along with dal or curry. The process of preparing lemon squash is described below. At first, fresh and fine lemons are collected from the market. Then they are scrubbed with fresh water. In the next step, the lemon-rinds are scrapped. After that, the lemons are boiled with water for a certain period. Next, they are cooled down to room temperature. Thereafter the juice is squeezed from the boiled lemon-water. The seeds present in the juice are strained then. After that, a certain amount of citric acid and sugar is added to the juice to make it delicious. Then the mixture is poured into sterilized bottles. At last, the bottles are sealed and packed. Finally, they are ready to be sold.
